Twice a year, GGPoker hands out WSOP gold. Not the bracelets of the summer, but the gold rings of the WSOP Online Super Circuit, and in the spring of 2024 it awarded eighteen of them.

The fourth annual Super Circuit ran across four weeks, with buy-ins stretching from $50 to $1,500 and a schedule that climbed toward a $10 million Main Event. Every ring came with more than a trophy attached. Each winner also earned a seat in the invitation-only $1,000,000 Tournament of Champions, the freeroll that turns a good week into a potentially life-changing one. This was the 55th year of the World Series, and its online Circuit had become one of the busiest chapters in the whole enterprise, with step satellites feeding the biggest events from as little as a single dollar.

The $10 Million Main Event

The series pointed at one number all month. The $525 Main Event carried a $10,000,000 guarantee, and the players blew straight through it, 20,854 of them building a $10,427,000 prize pool. The Day 2 field alone numbered 2,583 survivors, and after it ran deep into the night, ‘LSkywalker’ held the ring and $780,687.80, the largest score of the entire Circuit. It ran alongside the inaugural WSOP Circuit Toronto, the online and live series crowning champions on the same weekend.

The Half-Million-Dollar Envelope

The biggest field belonged to a $210 Mystery Millions that drew 23,423 entries and a $6 million pool. ‘Edm0nd Dantes’ won the tournament for $214,686.14, which turned out not to be the biggest payday in his own event.

That honor went to ‘delfin44’, who busted in 828th place and opened the top mystery bounty: a flat $500,000. ‘Pensionato’ found $330,000 from 337th, and ‘HappyOwl’ took $210,380 from 76th. Three players out of the money, or nearly so, all of them richer than the champion. It is the mystery bounty’s oldest trick, and it never stops working.

A Ring for Every Stakes

What the Super Circuit does best is spread the gold around. Niklas Astedt, one of the most accomplished online players alive, took the PLOSSUS Bounty for a combined $152,281. At the far end of the ladder, ‘euodeiooGG’ turned a $50 buy-in into $148,064.62 by winning the Mini Main Event and outlasting its enormous 47,013-entry field.

In between sat rings for every taste. ‘Xleeee’ won the opening BIG 500 for $292,563.43 after more than a day at the final table. ‘GordimSapeca’ claimed the first ring of the series in the Mystery Bounty Kick-Off, worth $171,198 once the bounties landed. ‘Mikita Paulikau’ took the $400 COLOSSUS Bounty and its 11,220 runners, ‘mbappelatepu’ won the $800 6-Max Championship for $177,761, and ‘Mertseger’ banked $162,420 in the Super GIANT. At the top of the buy-in scale, Brazil’s ‘Paulo Brombim’ won the $1,500 MONSTER STACK for $181,147, and ‘hey guy’ chopped the $1,050 GGMasters Circuit Championship three ways for $200,322. The mid-stakes rings were lucrative in their own right, with ‘Made_In_Moscow’ winning the $300 Deepstack Championship for $128,619 and ‘Weinschorleeeee’ clearing roughly $140,000 across prize and bounties in the $600 March Mayhem. Eighteen rings, eighteen winners, from the nosebleeds down to fifty dollars, and every one of them punched the same ticket to that million-dollar Tournament of Champions.

The Ontario Series

Running quietly alongside the main schedule was a second, Ontario-only Super Circuit, a full mirror series with its own gold rings for players inside the Canadian province. The fields were smaller and the guarantees leaner, but the hardware was identical, and the rings counted just the same. France’s Julien Perouse won the Ontario 6-Max Championship for $39,794, and ‘Maximilian9424’ took the Ontario Main Event for $70,578.19, a Circuit champion in his own right on the very weekend ‘LSkywalker’ was winning the global version. The Ontario schedule tracked the main one almost event for event, from the Bounty Championship down to the Mini Main, so a grinder in Toronto was chasing the same rings on the same nights as the rest of the world. Two Main Events, two rings, an ocean and a border apart.

By the time the last ring was handed out, the Super Circuit had done what it always does: turned a few weeks of online grinding into genuine WSOP hardware, and pointed everyone toward Las Vegas. The Road to Vegas promotion was already running underneath it all, dropping $2 million in Main Event tickets and aiming to send more than a thousand players to the felt in Las Vegas. The rings are real, but the summer is always the destination.
